(Hong Kong, September, 25 2023)– China Risun Group Limited (“China Risun”, or the “Group”, stock code: 1907.HK), a leading global integrated coke, coking chemicals and refined chemicals producer and supplier and relevant operation management services provider in China, announced its Cangzhou Risun Chemicals Limited (“Cangzhou Risun”) was selected in the 2023 Provincial Green Manufacturing List for its outstanding results and achievements in green development.
Prior to receiving this honor, Cangzhou Risun has won the titles of National High-tech Enterprise, Organic Chemical Industry Environmental Performance A-Level Enterprise, Enterprise on the first positive list of Ecology and Environment Supervision of Hebei Province, Hebei Province Occupational Health Enterprise and Hebei Provincial Carbon Dioxide Capture, Utilization and Storage Pilot Enterprise. These titles and honors fully demonstrate the company’s abilities in green production, operation, management and development, and will help the company to further improve the green manufacturing system with higher standards, enhance its social image and deepen high-quality green development. Cangzhou Risun won this award because since its establishment, it has implemented the concept of green manufacturing across the entire product cycle while developing its main business, and has taken the green manufacturing concept as its main strategy to stabilize the upstream and downstream supply chains, realize the transformation and upgrading of the industry, and fulfil its corporate social responsibility, with constant practice, innovation, improvement and progress.
In terms of energy conservation and emission reduction, Cangzhou Risun has invested RMB350 million in the construction of advanced environmental protection facilities in the industry at home and abroad. By using low-sulfur coal devices, conducting regular maintenance and repair of environmental protection equipment and improving employees' operating standards in production and operation, the Group has been able to control daily flue gas emission indicators at an “ultra-low” level,, all of which are around 60% to 80% below the emission standards. As for the VOCs integrated treatment project, it comprehensively treats VOCs exhaust gas and gradually achieve near-zero VOCs emissions. In order to meet the strong technical demand for energy conservation and consumption reduction in the chemical industry and to achieve the goal of “emission reduction at source, process control, end treatment and efficient utilization”, the Group has continued to develop or introduce new technologies, new processes and new equipment, strengthen unorganized control measures, optimize organized emission reduction and improve the operational stability of environmental protection and treatment facilities to overcome major technological bottlenecks. In addition, the Group has continued to implement technological transformation and process optimization, improve the energy measurement management system, and conduct energy efficiency benchmarking and raise energy efficiency standards. Besides, with regard to establishing a green plant, Cangzhou Risun believes in promoting and using new equipment, new energy and new materials, thus achieving comprehensive emission and carbon reduction, saving energy and enhancing efficiency, while reducing pollutant emissions such as wastewater and waste gas far below the national standards, as well as solid waste production far below the industry level.Regarding full product life cycle control, Cangzhou Xuyang has made a solemn commitment to long-term and responsible control of the entire product life cycle, strives to minimize the impact of each workflow on the environment, aims to achieve "complete and full automation and informatization" and digital and intelligent upgrade, and flatly refuses to use obsolete equipment. Concerning carbon emission management, Cangzhou Risun has established a carbon emission check and measurement system. Every year, a third party is appointed to conduct greenhouse gas inspection, formulate a carbon inspection system and clarify the related responsibilities of each department. Carbon footprint calculation is organized and carried out to track and understand the carbon footprint of the entire product life cycle, so that targeted and timely improvements can be made. To further consolidate the foundation of carbon reduction work, the company plans to invest in the construction of a 4MW rooftop distributed photovoltaic power plant, which is expected to effectively reduce regular energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, contribute to the coordinated development of economic benefits and environmental protection, create synergies and improve efficiency.
